This service provides each participant with a customized copy of Investment Horizons' unique participant statement, Your Retirement Planning Checkup.  The innovative format focuses attention on how much money will be needed at retirement and shows participants where they are on the road to financial security.  Distributing this report periodically enables participants to monitor their retirement investing strategy (or lack thereof) and make changes as appropriate.

Distributing the report also provides the plan sponsor with documentation of its efforts to make employees aware of their responsibility to invest intelligently for retirement and to educate participants on an ongoing basis.

Statement Topics

  • Accounting information such as current account balance, vested account balance, current and cumulative employee and employer contributions, account earnings.
  • Fund option investment histories.
  • The amount of inflation-adjusted income that will be needed during retirement.
  • The monthly investment necessary to provide that income.  This calculation can take into account Social Security, defined-benefit benefits, and other retirement income.

Statement Options

  • The reports can be two or three pages depending on whether the accounting and plan option investment history data is included.
  • The reports can be printed in color or black and white.
  • Various grades of paper or customized preprinted base stock can be used.
  • Reports can be mailed directly to participants or delivered to the plan sponsor.
